The residents of a 1930s house in Tuindorp wanted to create more space on the ground floor with an extension.
By opting for a conservatory as an extension, the deeper space still receives sufficient daylight. In addition, we opted for a brick floor that extends from the inside to the outside, making the extension feel even more spacious. The floor refers to the entrance of the house, where the ceiling is made of brick.
A cozy lounge area has been created in the former kitchen, which contrasts with the spacious layout of the house in terms of atmosphere and use of color. The fireplace provides a view to the kitchen. The fireplace is also a central element in the house: it is visible from the bar, dining room, living room and lounge.
